Sayyidi Abul Hasan ash-Shadhuli was born in the year 593 AH (1196 AD) and lived until 656 AH. He is a descendant of Sayyiduna Al-Imam Al-Hussein and the founder of the well known Sufi Order "Ash-Shadhuliyya".
He was known for always being patient and reacting kindly and perfectly to any kind of troubles. He fought back his enemies through decent behavior and he was never provoked. This confused his opponents until they were despaired. For this reason they called him "ash-Shadh" meaning "the weird" as a way of mocking him. But then Allah granted him his famous surname "ash-Shadhuli". Allah added "li" to the name they called him, meaning that Sayyidi Abul Hasan is abnormal for them but special for Allah. This is why nobody can become a saint unless accepted by Sayyidi Abul Hasan ash-Shadhuli.
The sheikh of Sayyidi Abul Hasan ash-Shadhuli was Sayyidi Abdel Salam Ibn Bashish; he conveyed the Tariqa and the Awrad to him. Sayyidi Abdel Salam Ibn Bashish had only this one murid (follower), but he equated to a whole nation because the Shadhuliyya followers became numerous later on. After being with Sayyidi Abdel Salam Ibn Bashish, Sayyidi Abul Hasan ash-Shadhuli spent most of his life in Alexandria. His servant and companion, Sayyidi Abdel Aziz al Mukanna bi Abi-l-Magd married Sayyidi Abul Hasan's sister Sayyidatu Fatimatu ash-Shadhuliya. Two of their sons were the famous saints Sayyidi Ibrahim ad-Disuqi and Sayyidi Musa Abul Umran. Sayyidi Ibrahim ad-Disuqi received the Tariqa from Sayyidi Abul Hasan ash-Shadhuli.

Sayyidi Abul Hassan ash-Shadhuli lebte von 593 - 656 n.d.H. (1196 - 1259 n.Chr.). Er ist ein Nachfahre von Sayduna al Imam al Hussain und der Begründer der Shadhuliya-Tariqa die die sich über die Jahrhunderte bis heute weit verzweigte.
Al Imam Abul Hassan ash-Shadhuli repräsentiert die Barmherzigkeit der Tariqa. Er hat Allah gebeten, seine Feinde zu Heiligen zu erheben. Er war bekannt dafür, daß er auf Schwierigkeiten immer mit freundlich und korrekt reagierte. Er kämpfte gegen seine Feinde mit einem guten Verhalten und niemals mit Ärger, obwohl er dazu gereizt wurde. Dies irritierte seine Widersacher, bis sie schier verzweifelten. Deshalb nannte Allah ihn "Ash-Shadhuli". "Shadh" bedeutet "seltsam". Allah sagte:"Du bist nicht seltsam für sie, du bist "seltsam" für mich (Shadhu-li). Niemand kann ein Heiliger werden, bevor er nicht diese Stufe erreicht hat.
Der Schaich von Sayyidi Abul Hassan ash-Shadhuli war Sayyidi Abdel Salam Ibn Bashish. Dieser gab ihm den Bund und das Aurad. Sayyidi Abdel Salam Ibn Bashish hatte nur diesen einen Muriden, doch dieser Murid entsprach einer ganzen Nation, da die Shadhuliya-Turuq so zahlreich wurden. Nach der Zeit bei Sayyidi Abdel Salam Ibn Bashish verbrachte Sayyidi Abul Hassan ash-Shadhuli den größten Teil seines Lebens in Alexandria. Sein Diener war Sayyidi Abdel Aziz al Mukanna bi Abi-l-Magd, der später die Schwester von Sayyidi Abul Hassan ash-Shadhuli heiratete. Aus dieser Ehe gingen unter anderem die Söhne Sayyidi Ibrahim ad-Disuqi und von Sayyidi Musa Abel Umran hervor. An Sayyidi Ibrahim gab Sayyidi Abul Hassan ash-Shadhuli dann seine Tariqa weiter.

The master of Tariqa Burhaniya Disuqiya Schadhuliya and the lord of its secrets is Sayyidi Ibrahim ad-Disuqi - Abul Ainin - Abul Aunayin ("The one with double help"). He is the one whose prayers are answered.
Sayyidi Ibrahim was born in Desuq (Northern Egypt) in the year of 633 after hijra, during the last night of the month Shaban.
He is one of the Imams to whom Allah revealed His sacraments. He belongs to the last group of the "saba'a al mathani" (the seven doublets), the poles of Sufism, responsible for the "nawafil" (voluntary augmentation of duties). Just as the founders of the four Islamic schools of thought have taught the muslims about "farida" (the duties in Islam), so are the Sufi poles responsible for the teaching of "nawafil". The "as-salatu-l-muhammadiya" (also called "as-salat adh-dhatiya") is a prayer by Sayyidi Ibrahim ad-Disuqi about the essence of the Prophet saws: the "unidentified stage". All devine secrets are from this stage (also called "the ruby") which the Prophet Muhammad saws held before even the world was created.
Sayyidi Ibrahim passed away in the 676 after hijra, i.e. he lived only 43 years. According to some other books he lived 63 years. He was entombed in his well-known mosque in Desuq.

Der Führer der Tariqa Burhaniya Disuqiya Schazuliya und der Besitzer ihrer Geheimnisse ist Sayyidi Ibrahim ad-Disuqi - Abul Ainin - Abul Aunayin ("Der mit der zweifachen Hilfe"). Er ist derjenige, dessen Bitte erhört wird.
Er wurde im Jahre 633 n.H. in der letzten Nacht des Monats Schaban in Desuq geboren.
Sayyidi Ibrahim ist einer der Imame denen Allah das Verborgene offenbarte. Er gehört zu der letzten Gruppe der "Saba'a al Mathani" (der sieben Oberen), die für die "Nawafil" (freiwillige Vermehrung der Pflichten) verantwortlich waren. So wie die Begründer der vier Rechtsschulen die Muslime die "Farida" (die Pflichten im Islam), gelehrt hatten, so sind die vier Pole verantwortlich für die Lehre der Nawafil.
Das "As-Salatu-l-Muhammadiya" (oder auch "As-Salat adh-Dhatiya") ist ein Gebet von Sayyidi Ibrahim ad-Disuqi über die Essenz des Propheten saws. (über "die unbenannte Stufe"). Diese Stufe aus dem die Geheimnisse entspringen, hatte der Prophet Muhammad saws. bevor er geboren wurde. Alle göttlichen Geheimnisse sind in dieser Stufe (auch "die rote Perle" genannt), enthalten.
Sayyidi Ibrahim starb im Jahre 676, d.h. er lebte nur 43 Jahre. Nach einer anderen Überlieferung lebte er 63 Jahre. Er wurde in seiner bekannten Moschee in Desuq beigesetzt.
